Sushi is one of the most delicious foods you can eat anywhere. Most of the time it is enjoyed in fine Japanese restaurants.

But sometimes a person wants to make sushi at home. I should know. I own a Sushi Restaurant Murrieta and get asked all the time by my customers. They always want to know what is the secret to making great tasting sushi at home?

I always joke and tell them they can’t and they need to always come to my Sushi Restaurant. But seriously, if great sushi making tips are what you are after, listen up.

First off, have a great time. Remember, you are not trying to make this for a Sushi restaurant Temecula full of people. You most likely are just making it for friends.

Remember you can have great tasting food without it looking great. So relax and remember there will be a learning curve.

For the rice, remember it is going to be sticky. So if you prefer not to have sticky rice all over, make sure you wash your hands a lot.

Another tip is when making the sushi, don’t try to make the biggest in the world. Yes the ingredients taste great. But when you try and put too much ingredients into one roll it will be a disaster. You will have rolls that don’t roll up. You are going to have all the ingredients spilling all over the place because it is overstuffed.

Just don’t do it.

Fourth piece of advice, be gentle. Resist the urge to use a lot of force. When you are making the Sushi all it takes is a gentle rolling. To much force with your fingers and the rolls end up looking funny or have an odd shape.

Final tip is using of knives. Obviously when you make sushi, it requires small bits of fish. Well to prevent tearing of the fish make sure you moisten your knife. This helps you cut into it with the knife evenly. You are going to have a nicer cut of the fish that you can easily put into the sushi roll.

There you go. Follow these few steps and you will be making great sushi like at my Sushi Restaurant Lake Elsinore.

Making Sushi does not have to be difficult. It has to be fun and enjoyable, but more importantly delicious.

I always joke and tell them they can’t and they need to always come to my Sushi Restaurant. But seriously, if you want some great tips to try and make some great sushi at home listen up.

First of all have fun. Remember, you are not trying to make this for a Sushi restaurant Temecula full of people. You more than likely are making it for relatives or friends.

Another great tip is to try and not make the biggest sushi in the world.Yes all the ingredients taste wonderful. But if you try and stuff too many ingredients into one roll it will be a disaster. You are going to have non rolling rolls. You are going to have all the ingredients spilling all over the place because it is overstuffed.

Just do not do it.

Fourth tip, be gentle. Resist the temptation to use too much force. When you are making the Sushi all it takes is a gentle rolling. To much force with your fingers and the rolls end up looking funny or have an odd shape.

Final tip is using of knives. Obviously making sushi requires small pieces of fish. Well if you don’t want the fish to tear, moisten the knife. This allows you to cut into the knife evenly. You will have nicer cuts of fish that you can put into the sushi roll.

Making Sushi doesn’t have to be hard. It can be enjoyable, fun, and of course delicious.
