People in many places can’t really survive without a car. Yes there are buses but in this very busy life that makes it difficult.Since cars are very important in our lives it makes sense to know the basics on how to take good care of them.So we are going to examine to major parts of our car that requires regular maintenance.

The first very important part of a car is the engine. This is comparative to the car’s heart.  If you don’t take care of this part of your car it will die. So in my Escondido auto repair service I make sure my customers know how important this part is.And it is also simple to take good care of. If a person were to just do regular tune ups and change the oil they will keep their car in good shape.

The transmission is the next important part of the car. This is critical in being able to drive your car. If your transmission breaks down so does any use of your car.  In my Carlsbad auto repair shop I see so many broken down transmissions.Most of the failures could have been prevented. The main way to do that is to ensure the supply of enough fluids at all times.Plus to ensure that changing gears are done gently and at a complete stop always.

As you can notice taking good care of your car’s transmission and engine isn’t that hard.All it requires is a commitment to make sure that that part of your car is taken cared.I tell all of my clients of my shop that performing a bit of maintenance today will save them a lot amount of money in the future.They end up having cars that last a long time without any problems those who are willing to do that.  Those that don’t end up with cars they have to bring in all the time with problems.

In this article we will look at why the weather hurts your cars.

In my Escondido auto repair service the biggest cold weather problem are dead batteries.The reason being that when the weather is cold your battery is more overworked.And that would result to it running harder.Your headlights are used more because the daylight is shorter in winter time.And the heater also takes more energy from the battery as compared to an aircon.So to prevent battery problems you must always look at your batteries if they are in good condition before going out in harsh weather.

Frozen fuel lines is another problem that cars usually encounter during a cold season.  This isn’t a big auto problem for my Carlsbad auto repair service.  But this is really prevalent in cities with very cold weather.Condensation starts when you are low on fuel.  Well when it gets cold that condensation freezes up and stops fuel from getting to the engine.  The best way to avoid that is to not let your fuel run low in the winter.

Tire pressure would be another one of those cold weather related auto problems.  Cold weather will make tires lose pressure.  This isn’t a good thing because low pressured tires get balder faster.Bald tires is not good especially when the roads are icy or wet.So this is really a serious problem.So you must make it a point also to always check the pressure of the tires of your car.

So those are some of the most common auto problems during cold season.Doing the tips mentioned above will lead to prevention of some of those problems.And you do not want to encounter those problems especially during cold season.

So here are some tips to saving with auto repair expenses.  In my San Marcos auto repair service I always advise my clients to do regular tuneups.  If they take the time to change out the sparkplugs and check all the fluids it will help.It will benefit the car’s engine and cause it to last longer.  Plus it will help it run longer.

Another piece of advise I give my clients of my Carlsbad transmission repair service shop is to take care of their transmission.The transmission is a very costly in terms of trying to repair it.  Plus it is a part of the car that is easily damaged.So the top way to make sure you care for your transmission is to go easy on it while you drive.Don’t try to change the gears while the car is still moving.  Plus you want to make sure that their is adequate transmission fluid.  A damaged transmission could cost a car owner thousands of dollars to fix.The thing that will work the best for you to do is to care for it now.

So those were a few things you could do to help your car to last longer.As it was mentioned earlier in the long run you will spend more money.  But if you do, you will save more money in the long run.  It has been proven time after time with my clients of my Carlsbad auto repair service shop.Just like most things in life it is going to cost more when you fix it instead of if you prevented it from breaking.

Or if not avoid you can at least lessen the problems they give you.

First problem we are going to talk about is brought about by low levels of oil in your car.This should not really be a problem.But some people out there with cars neglect this one basic fact that cars burn oil.Since your car burns oil it will eventually run out of it unless you regularly check and maintain it.  That is one of my biggest pieces of advice for my San Marcos auto repair company.Be sure to check your oil levels all the time.  If it is low add some oil.  It will save you some major engine damage if you run it low on oil.

Another common problem that people always bring to my Carlsbad auto repair shop is check engine light problems. When the check engine light comes on it is usually a sign of some emmission problem.But do not get too nervous about this.  It isn’t something that will ruin your car.You just have to look at your car manual first to know what the problem is exactly about .You may want a mechanic to have a look at it later but do not worry about it too much.

Last problem I would tackle is about clicking noises.This is often caused by debris buildup or rocks stuck in the tires.You just have to take a look at your tires.When you find some rocks or debris then you can just use some stick or pen to remove it.It is not a major cause of rpoblem for your car.It justs makes you worry because it sounds like there is something wrong.And it can also be annoying.But it would not even hurt your car even in the long run.

So, there’s some of those most common problems of your car.I hope that the next time you encounter these problems you would not be too worried anymore.

Not only is it one of the most important it is also one of the most expensive.  If you have to get it repaired it is very costly.  So it is one of those parts of your car you want to make sure you take care of.Because if you do not take care of it, it will hurt you in the long run.So here are some of the ways to better take care of your car’s transmission.

One minor thing that is often overlooked but a major cause of transmission problems is the fluid.  Not having enough transmission fluid causes so much damage that I see it happen all the time in my Escondido auto repair shop.  The sad part about it is that it could have been avoided.  All a person has to do is to make sure to always check fluid levels.If the fuid levels are already low then go and get her filled up.  It is an easy task but can save a lot of money.

Second thing you want to do is make sure to not shift gears while moving. You would be surprised at the number of cars that come in damaged in my Oceanside transmission repair shop from this problem alone.Do not be impatient and shift gears while moving.  It is another thing that is easy to do. But when you fail to do it, you damage your transmission little by little.

Last thing would be not to let your transmissin get hot.An overheated transmission will be damaged more easily.  I always advise my Oceanside auto repair clients to make sure to add a coolant type of additive to their fluid.  This helps the transmission run cooler.

If a person does these things then his/her car’s transmission would last longer.Failure to do so will hurt them financially and their transmission willhave a shorter lifespan.  With these things being so easy to do it shouldn’t be a problem.

It is a very simple thing to do.But it is a procedure that will make your car last for a long time.  In my San Marcos auto repair shop I always encourage my clients to bring their car in for tune ups.It is not because I want to make more money.But for them to save a lot of money on repairs. 

Another thing I always encourage is to always do oil changes. Being able to do this task will go a long way.It will enable the engine to run smoother and it can also make it last longer.Compare the oil to your blood.It won’t be able to survive just like a person that is losing a lot of blood.  A car running low on oil can severely damage the engine.  I have seen it too many times where customers brought in a burnt out engine into my Carlsbad auto repair shop.And it was all due to low oil levels.So be smart and regularly change the oils of your car.

Finally I always tell my clients to watch out for their transmission.  Just like the engine, the transmission is a very expensive part to replace.  But having it last long is easy. You just need to take care of it regularly.In my transmission repair shop, I always say to my clients that they should always watch their transmission fluid.  Letting this run down can ruin their transmission.

So there you have it.If you abide by these simple tasks then you will save a lot of money on auto repairs.And your car will also last longer.
